Thomas E. Alexander retired as Executive Vice-President of Neiman Marcus after nearly twenty years of service as the company's marketing director. In his early years at the store, he worked directly with Stanley Marcus, the legendary retail icon and often traveled with him to destinations around the world.

Alexander, a former U. S. Air Force officer and rancher, is the author of four previous books, two of which have received prestigious awards. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and also holds a Masters degree in Military Studies.
